I did a little over seven today and actually felt pretty good. Some friends were coming down from 96 street to run all the way over the Brooklyn Bridge (20 miles omg) I joined them for a measly seven but hey! It felt good. I've actually run 5 days in a row now and will be running tomorrow, as well. I haven't done this many consecutive days in a very long time. The legs are holding up, though and I feel like I've lost a little more weight which is never a bad thing. I bought a new hand-held water bottle. An Amphipod Hydroform. I was a little worried about it because I hate holding things while I run but I actually found it very comfortable. I would definitely recommend. For me, when I go over six miles, I really need water. I felt like I should have maybe brought food, as well. I was sort of on the brink of needing it. My next long run will be in the 9-10 neighborhood so I will for sure have to get something. I've used the Jelly Belly sport beans before so I'll probably stop by Paragon or Jackrabbit and grab some. I was a little nervous about going this far so I'm pretty glad things turned out this well. Half marathon is in four weeks :) I know I won't be super speedy, but I'm finally coming to feel like I can actually do this!
Also, triple-chocolate cupcakes aka how I plan on using the extra 1000 calories I burned today...
