I went to the top of Mt. Washington! And then I ran down!

So my dad is absolutely nuts. He's the kind of guy who see's that there's a 7.6 mile race to the top of one of the highest mountains in the Northeast and says, "Hey! Sounds like fun!" Actually, my dad prides himself in eating hills for breakfast so this isn't really that weird.  And of course, in true fashion for my fam, I was to be his copilot. My dad and I are becoming pros at race road-tripping- after a 12 hour car ride and 25 hours in a car over 48 hours, a quick 6 hour ride to New Hampshire is nothing ;)

Dark Chocolate or milk? Just another of life's impossible decisions.
Pit stop at King Arthur Flour. If you are obsessed with baking, this is a must stop. They have a store that will make you lay on the floor in being unable to decide what to buy (all of it!), a bake shop (YUM), and cooking classes, which I hope to go back and take one day. And yes,  I am holding several pounds of chocolate in this picture.
View from the top! Visibility was 150 miles!

At the top! Winds at 50 mph and 37 degrees- a little cold for capris
I hitched a ride with a nice woman going to the top and waited for my dad who ran a 1:40! You might be thinking umm... dude, that's a little slow for wish miles. To that I would respond, dude! There's a 12-22 degree incline the whole way! Okay, too much use of the word "dude." It was actually scary just driving up it because there's very little shoulder on the road. So it's really steep, you get it.
My dad and I right before running down the mountain together
Conclusion- Mt. Washington is a really awesome, really windy place. Also, I think I've been brainwashed by my father because after driving up the course and running down it to experience it, I want to do it next year!?!? That's a little nuts, please send help :)
