I am an "early bird gets the worm type of gal," so I was very, very shocked when the phone rang and woke me up at 11:15, I was a little beyond shocked. I went to the gym and run 3 miles on the track at about a 9:30 pace. I was in a fog the entire time. I thought sleeping in was supposed to make you feel better?!?! HA! I guess I am an exception to the rule. I felt gross all day. I am one of the few individuals that does very well going to bed by 11 and waking up my 7 or 8. I felt like I missed out on an entire day. Luckily, I didn't have work so I was still able to squeeze in two workouts. My run felt like a pretty epic fail but my p.m. swim felt pretty good. I did a little over 30 mins of swimming, alternating between breaststroke, crawl, and some kicking exercises. I'm training for the triathlon for real this time. :) I want my swim leg to look badass!
In terms of eating, I think I did pretty well. While the goal for this summer is not to lose weight per se, it it sure wouldn't suck :) I had a frozen waffle for breakfast and some fruit, roasted potatoes, and veggies for lunch. For dinner I had a very yummy veggie omelet. It's hard to try to eat so many vegetables and fruits. I've found that if I can put them in something, it makes it a lot easier. I've been trying Mark Bittman's How to Cook Anything Vegetarian. His recipes seem really good, and so far are not that challenging. Tomorrow is a day off from running and Body Pump in the p.m. Here's hoping I wake up in time!!!
