Hmm... I should have taken a picture of this cake right after I made it but it was demolished before I even thought to take out my camera. Is there anything better than chocolate cake? I don't think so. The chocolate sheet cake recipe from Baking Illustrated is my favorite chocolate cake. Ever. I made it into a layer cake because it's a bit fancier but the recipe works as a sheet, a layer cake, or cupcakes. I've tried all the ways and it works every time. Having a nice big birthday cake means the celebration lasts just a bit longer.
