I have over one month off over the winter so back to my waitressing job I go! My bosses at this restaurant gave me my first job and though I was a truly terrible waitress at first, I like to think I'm pretty good now. Waitressing isn't something I'm planning on doing my entire life but I think it's one of those jobs people sometimes look down upon but can be weirdly difficult at times. You need to have a good memory, be quick on your feet, know math, have people skills, and keep a smile on your face NO MATTER WHAT. I can't tell you how many times in the beginning I would screw up orders because I forgot something. I'm pretty lucky that I have a job with friendly people that keep hiring me back over breaks. Oh, and that it's all the free (amazing) coffee you can drink. I won't share how many cups I had today but needless to say, it was a lot.
